Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Mitramela India, a non-profit organization dedicated to women empowerment, we strive to bring impactful change in the lives of women and girls through our grassroots programs, training initiatives, and community support services. The financial support we receive through donations is critical to sustaining our mission.
This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines our approach to handling donations, service charges, and associated payments. We value transparency and donor trust and aim to keep our terms clear and respectful of both donor intent and legal obligations.
1. Donations to Mitramela India
Donations made to Mitramela India support programs such as education, health awareness, skill development, legal support, and self-reliance initiatives for women and girls across India.
All contributions are treated as voluntary and non-refundable. Donations are not payments for goods or services, and should not be considered as an investment or commercial transaction.
Once a donation is successfully processed via our payment gateway, it is considered final and cannot be refunded or cancelled under any circumstances.
2. Purpose of Donations
Your donation directly supports our work in uplifting underprivileged women through structured programs, events, training sessions, and campaigns.
Since the donation is utilized to plan and deliver on-the-ground activities immediately or over time, we cannot guarantee reversal or reallocation of funds once received.
3. Statutory Compliance & Refunds
If Mitramela India ever loses its legal status or eligibility to receive donations under Indian law, we will immediately stop accepting donations.
Any donations made after the date of loss of eligibility (and not yet transferred to project accounts) will be refunded to the donor within 10 working days, after deducting applicable payment gateway fees and taxes.
Donations already transferred to our programs prior to notification of ineligibility cannot be refunded, and donors are advised to get in touch with us for clarifications if needed.
4. Refund Policy on Service Fees & Subscriptions
Mitramela India does not charge donors any service fee. However, third-party payment gateways may deduct nominal transaction charges which are non-refundable.
In the future, if NGOs or partner organizations pay a subscription or participation fee to collaborate with Mitramela India, such charges will be non-refundable, even if the partner discontinues the relationship midway.
5. Cancellation of Recurring Donations
If you have set up a recurring donation (e.g., monthly or yearly), you may cancel future payments at any time by notifying us via email or directly through the payment gateway used (such as Razorpay, Paytm, or others).
Please note that already processed donations before the cancellation request will remain non-refundable.
6. Legal Disclaimer
Mitramela India shall not be held responsible for errors made in donation amounts or duplicate donations due to technical or human error. However, in genuine cases of duplicate transactions, we will evaluate requests and process refunds on a case-by-case basis, after deducting applicable gateway fees.
We encourage donors to keep receipts and transaction confirmation emails for future reference.
